For ferry availability on late booking we suggest contacting chateau vary (chateauvary.com ) for up to the minute availability on all routes including the channel. Make your holiday a 10 day break by adding a couple of nights en route from Calais for example....the journey can otherwise be comfortably acheived in 5 hours on motorways (tolls approx 30 euros each way).Come and relax with the family, in a truly beautiful area of France with access to all the best French gourmet produce, fantastic seafood restaurants and wine of course, to make your holiday go with a swing! Early summer is truly magical in the Baie of Le Mont St Michel....oysters are piled in boxes out side the fishmongers, you can buy whole foie gras, and of course local markets offer the best of French produce.  Mussels come into season in June and the first ones are so sweeeet.........Bring the kids and organise a treasure hunt in the garden!
